The Autumn frost was just around the tenday or so, so both the companions rested little in their pursuit. But they had exhausted themselves to near-death about a day ago.
A band of ill-organized road brigands, or Traveler's Curse as they called themselves, decided to test their mettle against the seemingly unarmed friends. Under normal conditions, the pair would have dispatched the foes under a minute, but due to weariness and fatigue, both ANdei and Carm walked away with more than a few scraps.
Carm reassured himself that they deserved this small respite. Andei just looked up at him and said,
"Isn't it beautiful when you can actually sit down and look around?"
"yes it is, Andei, why yes it is." Carm responded warmly.
